Green energy refers to energy use that is not only more efficient than fossil fuels, but that is friendly to the environment. Green energy is generally defined as energy sources that dont pollute and are renewable.
There are several categories of green energy (GE). They are anaerobic digestion, wind power, geothermal, small scale hydro, energy from biomass, solar and wave energy. Waste incineration can also be a source of green energy.
Nuclear power plants claim that green energy production, as well, although this source is full of controversy, as we all know. While nuclear energy may be sustainable, it can be renewable and does not pollute the atmosphere, while energy production, waste does not pollute the biosphere as it is released.
The transport, mining and phases before and after production of nuclear energy and release carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases like destructive. When we read of green energy, so you rarely see nuclear power included.
Those who support nuclear energy say that nuclear waste is not in fact published in our land biosphere during its normal production cycle. They also emphasize that the carbon dioxide free nuclear power production is comparable, in terms of each kilowatt hour of electricity, these sources of GE, such as wind power.
As an example of the production of GE, the average wind turbine, like that of Reading in England, can produce enough energy daily to be the only source of energy for 1,000 homes.
Many countries provide to domestic and commercial consumers to opt for total use of green energy. Make this one of two ways. Consumers can purchase electricity from a company that only uses renewable green energy technology, or they can buy their supplies, such as the local electricity company, which then buys GE's resources to the extent of supplies to the consumers pay.
The latter is generally more cost – efficient way to provide a home or office with GE, as the supplier can reap the economic benefits of mass purchasing. Green energy generally costs more per kilowatt hour compared with the level of fossil fuel energy.
Consumers can also buy green certificates, which are alternatively known as green tags or green certificates. These are available both in Europe and the United States, and are most suitable for the average consumer to support green energy. Over 35 million European households and one million U.S. homes and buy these certificates from GE.
While GE is a big step towards keeping our environment healthy and clean air as free as possible, remember that no matter what the energy will have a negative impact on the environment to some extent.
Each energy source, green or otherwise, requires energy. The production of this energy will create pollution during its manufacture. Green Energys impact is minimal, however.
